a little about us…

Welcome to Hide and Collars created in 2000, I’m Libby and my workshop is situated in a little village on the Wolds Way national trail in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Not forgetting to mention my constant companion ‘Poppy’ often snoozing in her dog bed in the workshop.

I work using traditional saddlery techniques, all my items are completely handmade from start to finish. They are hand cut, bevelled and hand stitched using the two-needle method which is far stronger than any machine. My leather dog collars and leather dog leads are made from the best quality bridle leather sourced here from UK Tanneries. This leather is what gives the collars and leads the quality, durability and longevity that every owner would want for their pet.

For the smaller breeds of dog, I use a lighter weight veg tanned leather from a tannery in Tuscany.
